How this site works

Every agent statistic and ranking on this site is computed from verified California closed-sale records — 236,204 sales in the last 24 months across 32,366 ranked agents. Agents cannot pay to change their rank, and every profile has a correction process.

What the statistics mean

How rankings work

"Top agents" rankings score every qualifying agent (≥5 closed sales in the geography, last 24 months) on their verified results — production, speed of sale versus local peers, and how well their pricing holds up. Specialty rankings (fastest-selling, pricing accuracy, fewest price cuts, volume, luxury, rising, most active) use the single metric named on the page, with the qualification minimums stated there. Ranking pages are only published where at least 5 agents qualify.

Area pages vs. ranking pages. A city or ZIP page lists up to 20 agents ordered by the same results-based scoring, with no sales minimum — in areas where agents work across several ZIP codes, few clear a per-ZIP threshold, and an empty list would hide real local activity. One difference from the qualified ranking: a component an agent doesn't have enough local sales to evidence (fewer than 3) earns zero credit rather than being excused, so a thin local record can't outrank a full one. That list is a roster, not an award: published rank claims (badges, "top agent" pages) still require the ≥5-sale qualification above. Area tables default to sales in that area; the "All areas" switch shows each agent's full 24-month record, without changing the order. Stats built on fewer than 3 recorded sales in an area display as "—".

No paid placement. There is no mechanism — advertising, subscription, referral fee, or otherwise — by which an agent can change their statistics or rank.

Honest limitations

For agents: claiming your profile

Every profile on this site is generated from verified transaction records. Claiming is free, takes about 10 minutes, and lets you add a photo and bio, confirm your service areas, set how homeowners can reach you, and get notified when sellers in your markets ask for an agent. Claiming never changes your statistics or rank. Profile claiming opens soon.

For homeowners: agent matching

Agent matching — where we introduce you to agents chosen on the verified performance shown here — is opening soon. Every introduction is based on results, never on who paid.

Corrections

If a statistic on your profile doesn't match the underlying transaction record, we will re-verify against the source data and correct any discrepancy. Email support@optionhomes.com with your license number and the specific figure in question. A correction request form also ships with profile claiming (opening soon).
